From the surface parity report (2026-08-18), defect 10.

update_event treats empty strings as "unchanged", so the assistant surface has no way to clear a description or location once set.

Where: internal/mcp/tools.go.

Fix: add explicit clear semantics (for example clear_description / clear_location booleans, or a sentinel) and document them in the tool description.
